COVID VACCINE FOR Long Beach SERVICE PROVIDERS AND STAFF

FROM HARBOR REGIONAL CENTER:

Vaccine Scheduling in Long Beach for HRC Staff & Providers

Our physician Dr. Ahoo Sahba has been in contact with the City of Long Beach Public Health Department. If we have a Long Beach office and work with clients in Long Beach, HRC staff can qualify for the vaccination clinics below.

We are interpreting this to include HRC Service Providers with a Long Beach location as well. If not in Long Beach, you still qualify to use the link provided on Tuesday for LA County vaccine registration information sent to you on Tuesday.

We include HRC staff and service providers in this category of health care worker that provides direct services to individuals who may be carrying the COVID-19 virus.

Long Beach is hosting drive-thru mass vaccination clinics known as Points of Dispensing (PODs) for Long Beach healthcare workers and providers. These are closed PODs only open to healthcare workers and providers based in Long Beach.

Long Beach Vaccination Clinics

"We have two days open for you and your teams to come get vaccinated from 10 AM- 5 PM at Cabrillo HS"

On the online registration page's Drop-Down menu for Occupation, Select Healthcare-Direct Patient Contact.

It is recommended to use Google Chrome as the site is optimized on this browser.

"Please ensure all personnel has proof of employment as a healthcare worker/provider in Long Beach. We will accept work id, pay stub, or

letter of employment on the official letterhead. Aside from your teams, this link is not to be forwarded on."

Public health recommendations for vaccinated persons:

Protection from the vaccine is not immediate; the vaccine is a 2-dose series and will take 1 to 2 weeks following the second dose to be considered fully vaccinated.

No vaccine is 100% effective.

Given the currently limited information on how well the vaccine works in the general population; how much it may reduce disease, severity, or transmission; and how long protection lasts, vaccinated persons should continue to follow all current guidance to protect themselves and others, including:

  • Wearing a mask

  • Staying at least 6 feet away from others

  • Avoiding crowds

  • Washing hands often

  • Following CDC travel guidance

  • Following quarantine guidance after exposure to someone with COVID-19

  • Following any applicable workplace or school guidance
