Elegant Care Villa and Ca Care have a common goal – to provide quality and dignified care to all residents in California. Our collaboration aims to impact the community by adding resources for caregiver career training and compliance. So that way, we can help reduce the risk for individuals living in facilities and Increase available caregivers with basic caregiver training to work in California Licensed Care Programs administered by the Community Care Licensing Division under California’s Department of Social Services (CDSS).
At Elegant Care Villa, we understand that caregiver training is essential to providing high-quality care. We're proud to host on August 9 a training on Direct Support Professional roles and duties as a care provider, which will go over everything you need to know about roles and duties in the care continuum.
As direct support professionals, our role is integral to the success in the lives of people with disabilities. This training will provide you with an overview of the roles and responsibilities of direct support professional. We will also discuss some challenges you may face in your position and how to best address them. By the end of this training, you will be able to:
Understand your roles and responsibilities as a caregiver
Understand some challenges you may face in your position and how to best address them.
Understand day-to-day activities that will help support people with disabilities including- promoting choices - effective communication with people with disabilities- providing personal care and support- promoting independence and relationships and how to access the community.
